For those who want to travel by road, the nearest Rail head is Jammu which is 300 Kms away from Srinagar city. Regular Bus and Taxi Services are available from Jammu Railway Station to Srinagar round the clock. Daily Flights also operate from Jammu Airport to Srinagar for those who prefer to come to Jammu by train and thereafter take the flight to Srinagar.
It has the vast expanse of the famous Dal Lake in front and the awesome backdrop of the tall Shankaracharya Hill. Our hotel was started as back as 1956 as a modest Guest House with 10 rooms by Late Shri B. N. Nehru.It was called Nehrus’ Guest House.Over a period of only few years it earned a good name for itself and the family business became a major success. In the year 1978 it was converted into a full fledged hotel and the no. of rooms was increased to 20 and it was named Hotel Nehrus’. Once again an expansion took place in 1982 and the no. of rooms increased to 35.
Golden Jubilee of the Hotel was celebrated in Sept. 2006.The endeavor of the promoters is to provide a clean accommodation to the guests at reasonable rates and maintain an informal homely atmosphere in the hotel.
Shikaras are available on the Door steps. You can have a ride anytime during the day or late in the night. It is an experience of a life Time. You can visit Nehru Park, Char Chinari, Nishat Garden and Hazratbal Shrine by Shikara.
