R.R.Productions was established in 1989 and by the grace of God it has till now completed more than 30 productions. It is an honor for the firm that the first production produced by it was a documentary on Shair-e Kashmir Mehjoor. The documentary came after the feature film on Mehjoor but was the first documentary on him in Kashmir. Mrs. Nayema Ahmed Mehjoor, daughter-in-law of Mehjoor Sahib, was one of the narrators in the documentary.
A great achievement of R.R.Productions is “Akh Daleel Lolech”. Produced under the banner M/s R. R. Productions (in association with two other production houses of the valley), it is the first ever full-length digital Kashmiri feature film. It was the first film produced in Kashmir after a gap of 39 years. The film was applauded by the entire media and the public here and the effort was also praised all over the country and even overseas. Tariq Javeed participated as an actor too in the film. Playing the lead role as Jagirdar Sikander, he led a crew of 68 actors through the film.
