Srinagar British School is the flag ship of Srinagar Group of Schools established in 1996 at Rajbagh Srinagar.Srinagar Group of Schools is a chain of Schools established by Srinagar Educational Trust. The Trust was registered at Srinagar in 1996 to provide quality education in the valley of Kashmir.
Geographically situated at the heart of Srinagar, The School is about the spirit of Kashmir. The spirit, that makes human beings humane, pervades the school, moulding scholars to steer Kashmir in its path of progress. We aim to provide an involved community of students and families happily engaged in active learning in an environment that is tranquil and purposeful.
We envision students who are confident in their academic success and are developing socially, physically and psychologically. In the every department we believe that a child's education is the foundation for learning and achievement throughout life. We constantly strive to create an environment where respect and care are modeled by all.
We aim to provide an educational environment that enhances and supports the intellectual and social progress of each child so that each child will be prepared to compete in a global economy.
Sports and Events :
The School offers extensive House and School sporting programs. Sport is compulsory and all students participate in the swimming and athletics carnivals. Houses compete for the Inter-House Trophy each year, where students earn points toward the success of their House through involvement not only in sport but academic, artistic and cultural pursuits as well. Every student belongs to a House and through this builds pride in House and personal achievements.
The sporting facilities that will be available at Srinagar British School are first class. Our football and hockey field, tennis courts, basketball courts, and volley ball court already offer students a wide range of sporting opportunities and competition. Our swimming pool, gymnasium with squash courts and health club are near completion, as is our enormous multi-purpose room.
Sports are normally played subject to demand, interest and practicalities of selection. In making a selection for summer and winter sport a student normally makes a commitment to this sport for the entire season. In exceptional circumstances a student may change sports during a season. The Head of House will advise on procedures. Some sports are played as part of the PE programme
