Ministry of Cottage Industries, Government of Gujarat is organizing "Garvi-Gurjari National Craft Fair & Summit 2014" at Ahmedabad, Gujarat from 21.02.2014 to 27.02.2014 to show case the handloom and handicraft products of Gujarat as well as from across the country and to bring all crafts in a single platform, so that the artisans can interact with the buyers directly, educate about the values imbibed in the respective crafts and enhance their business potential.
Handloom and Handicraft is unique in every part of the country in India and the Garvi Gurjari National Craft Fair & Summit-2014 is a unique and one of its kind initiative from the Government of Gujarat to highlight various crafts from across the country. The fair will be a curtain raiser to connect the crafts, the artisans and the buyers from across the country under one roof
Planned activities of the show
Power packed Inaugural session addressed by the Honorable Chief Minister/Minister for Cottage Industries, Government of Gujarat.
Seminar 1: 1 day National Handloom & Handicraft Seminar with keynote speakers and cover key subjects to facilitate knowledge transfer for overall improvement of the handloom and handicraft sector.
Craft Village: More than 32 Gujarat Crafts will be displayed along with demo.
Tribal Pavilion: Crafts & Culture of the tribal will be displayed.
Buyer-Seller Meet: A structured, one-on-one, prefixed B2B meetings spread over 2 full days between leading national buyers and exhibitors.
2-day fair to facilitate b2b meetings between the hosted national buyers and the exhibitors.
5-day retail fair to increase the retail volume of trade which will attract 3,00,000 retail buyers attending the event from across Gujarat.
Craft Film Festival: Festival has extensive collection of informative and entertaining films on Handicrafts and Visual Narrative Arts of various regions of India.
Exhibition: Opportunity for a 2-day mega expo and 5 day retail expo for the artisans, traders, sellers of Handloom and handicraft products to exclusively showcase their products at their respective booths/theme pavilions.
